"Love Where You Live" Anti-Litter Campaign

Worked with the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Public Works to create an Anti-Littering Campaign.

Through Pitt's Projects in Marketing course, we met with the client, created presentation deliverables of taglines, short term messaging tactics, and created and distributed a research survey. The survey received around 600 responses and the data gathered helped our team to know more about the anti-litter needs of the people of Pittsburgh.

"Lead with love," was our guidance from the City of Pittsburgh's current Mayor Ed Gainey, from which our class collaborated to create part of our overall campaign. "Love Where You Live" encourages people to take pride in where they live, and treat their surroundings with care. Partnered with relevant awareness information, the goal of this campaign is to educate the public on the impacts of litter, and ultimately reduce litter in the city.

Below, you can see graphics I created for survey distribution, as well as bus shelter, bus interior, and Spin Scooter kiosk advertisement mock-ups. This project has been a great experience let me utilize my creativity.

Some graphics were created with great help from Max Stockdale.

Above: Our sample size & neighborhood representation. Over half of the neighborhoods in Pittsburgh were represented in the survey results.  It was important that we understand, accurately represent, and efficiently market to the majority of the city.

Above: Animated ad to display on the digital Spin Scooter kiosks. It is about 11.5 seconds total, a perfect timeframe to catch & maintain viewer attention.

Local Artists' Open Commissions

Created two slide Instagram post for a local artist to announce their open commissions, and include all relevant information to make booking more straightforward. Increased account visitor engagement, and reached more non-followers than followers. Resulted in fully-booked commission spots.

From 2020 until 2021 I was a member of the Public Relations committee within the American Marketing Association chapter at the University of Pittsburgh. I independently created various social media posts and content.

Coursework

In my courses at Pitt, I have created infographics, fictitious advertisements and events, as well as various business presentations and projects.

See the Business page to learn more about my BIS and SCM interests!

The graphics to the left are from a Business Communications course project. This project involved creating a plan to slowly return Heinz Field to their regular attendance levels towards the end of the COVID-19 restrictions.

I created signage graphics to aid in communicating this transition.

Personal Marketing

During the pandemic, I created these fliers largely for fun, but to also help build my portfolio. Difficulties of COVID-19 hindered this process, but I enjoyed making this flier regardless.

Invites

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, when safely seeing my friends, I enjoyed creating invitations for any get-togethers I would host. I really enjoy creating themed events and digital media.
